Overview

We are seeking a Business Planning Manager to improve the way we plan and deliver technology outcomes to our Experian customer base, across both foundational and digital technology environments. The successful applicant will be able to understand and articulate the value that technology delivers to our clients / internally and to work with the wider technology teams to ensure that we are continually improving how we deliver and demonstrate this value. This is a management role that sits in the Experian IT Services (EITS) Business Operations area, reporting into the Director of Business Change and Optimisation. The role will work within the Experian UKI and EMEA regions and engage with EITS global teams as co-delivery partners. The successful applicant will need to: · Work with the demand channels for the EITS UKI and EMEA organisation to implement a new and aligned model to appropriately control the workflow into EITS, effectively managing the variations in demand · Plan and prioritise the technology portfolio of work, including maintain, enhance and strategic initiatives. This should include the development of resource management (people and financial) and associated governance processes to improve control and execution · Apply optimisation techniques to the flow of work through EITS to drive time, quality and cost improvements · Work with and influence peers to define, measure and imbed required changes in working practice · Build high quality, outcome focused MI, supported by operational metrics, to expose departmental performance Responsibilities: · Deliver measured improvement in overall departmental performance through the application of Business Planning methodologies · Development and control of the underlying frameworks and lean processes used to support Business Planning · Break down the IT strategic plan into identifiable deliverables and required resources to achieve medium/long-term objectives · Build and maintain a robust process for allocating or reserving resources · Generate ownership and understanding among stakeholders of Critical Success Factors and key measures · Grow confidence that EITS can deliver its goals through a robust planning methodology · Forecast the resources required to achieve EITS’s goals and feed into departmental planning cycles · Focus EITS efforts by analyzing actual against planned performance · Give life to the operational execution of EITS’s strategy through multi-year road maps for successful implementation · Develop and lead Business Planning Governance and Policies, including taking chair of the appropriate forums · Influence and coach others to advance our ability to plan, measure and incrementally improve LI-SH1 Qualifications and Key Behaviours: · Can understand and articulate business value drivers, and connect them to activities in the technology domain · Is a thought leader, willing to challenge the norm, in order to improve outcomes · akes a data driven approach to solving problems and assessing performance · Is an active learner, passionate about this field of work and who keeps abreast of developments · Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in related technology field or equivalent industry experience · 4 years of experience working in a Business Planning or PMO type role in technology Knowledge/Skills: · Deep understanding and experience of how Businesses work · Strong understanding of Business Strategy and Operational Planning · Background in Data Analytics and MI · Pro-active - self-starter and self-managed · Able to read Financial Information and understand how this drive behaviors · Demand and Resource Management · Strong and proven problem-solving skills in change management settings · Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to interface with and influence internal/external senior stakeholders · Excellent organisational & project management skills · Proven ability to work in Agile development environments and to apply agile optimisation techniques · Business Process Management · Benefits Assessment and Realisation · Portfolio Planning and Prioritisation · Able to build relationships at all levels of an organisation · Strong English verbal and written communication skills
