Overview
Our client is an acquisitive private equity backed real estate business with significant assets under management and ambitious growth plans. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced finance professional as Group Financial Controller. Reporting to the CFO and acting as a strong ‘right hand’, the successful candidate have full management responsibility for all aspects of finance, including reporting, production of meaningful financial management information for the Board and investors, tax, treasury and the budgeting and forecasting process. Additionally it is envisaged that they will have involvement in M&A activity, additional strategic initiatives and can expect extensive exposure to working with the private equity investor. Applicants should be qualified accountants, ideally with experience gained working for a high growth private equity backed business. Ideally they will have additionally commenced their careers in a larger blue chip organisation and have an appreciation of what makes a ‘best in class’ finance function. We are also looking for individuals who are commercially astute, articulate and an influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels and manage a small team. Evidence of having had cradle to grave ownership of a finance team transformation project including the design and implementation of new systems would be advantageous, as would prior involvement in M&A activity. This is a well-rounded Group Financial Controller appointment in an ambitious, private equity owned Real Estate company and will be an excellent stepping stone to a first CFO appointment and an obvious successor to the current incumbent.
