Back End Web Developer - (node, React, TypeScript, Python) Are you a Back End Web Developer looking to take the next step up in your career? Are you ready to take on more responsibility but not getting the chance? Eden Scott's client, an award-winning software house with a global user base is looking for a Back End Web Developer to join their team to connect with other talented people working with modern front and back-end technologies to develop their cloud platform. In terms of their tech stack, at the front end, they mainly use React, JavaScript and CSS on the micro front ends. On the back end, historically they worked with Python but all new development is with Node & TypeScript on microservice architecture. They are looking for someone who is inquisitive and passionate about building quality. It's not expected that you will have expertise across all of these areas but you may be a good fit for this role if you: Thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts. Enjoy and have experience in building APIs and microservices. Like to keep things as simple as possible when writing code. They mainly use Node, Typescript, GraphQL and Python, but they understand that languages come and go. They are much more about your skills as a coder and realise that languages and frameworks can be learned. Have experience with systems and security at scale. Have experience debugging production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack. Support your fellow teammates by offering honest and supportive reviews of their code. Take pride in your work but are able to accept constructive criticism. Hold yourself and others to a high standard when working with production systems. Have ideas on improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes within the technical team. The organisation operates flexible working with core hours of 10:30 am until 4 pm. They also offer "10% time".
