Overview
Bookkeeper / Company Accountant Sheffield £15 - £18 / hour 12 month fixed term contract for an experienced Accountant with a track record of supporting smaller businesses. You will be the number one on finance day to day for an owner led organisation that experienced double digit growth and significant investment in 2019. The role will encompass absolutely all aspects of the core financial management. The remit will include: Full month end - production of key management accounts pack for the director. Accruals and prepayments / journals, Balance sheet and bank reconciliation. VAT return, Payroll, Ledger duties and credit control. The business operate Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll software and experience of both would be realty advantageous. You will ideally be a highly experienced finance professional with experience of management accounting / bookkeeping within owner-managed businesses or groups. You will be someone calm under pressure who can confidently pick up the existing processes and procedures. There is plenty of scope for you to make change and add value where you see fit. The MD is open to someone introducing more robust controls and developing the processes / reporting if necessary. You will ideally: Be AAT qualified with experience of SME environments. Be comfortable as number one in finance on a day to day basis for a friendly and progressive smaller business. Be comfortable in a standalone role where you will be very hands on. Be professional and measured in your approach. Be someone who approaches problem solving in a proactive manner and with a smile Be able to start immediately and commit to a contract assignment.
