Overview
Robert Half are currently working with a Financial Services firm in City of London (EC4M) helping them source an Assistant Accountant for a 6 month assignment. £17-£18 per hour plus holiday pay. This is likely to convert into a permanent opportunity, paying £35,000 - £40,000. Role As Assistant Accountant you will be working within a fast-paced team of 6. You shall be responsible for the management accounts as well as analytical projects. When necessary, you shall be covering other staff in their absence. Responsibilities will include: Preparing management reports for one of the entities within the group. Completing general ledger reconciliations Preparation of VAT returns Overseeing and reviewing the work of a purchase ledger clerk Support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts Assist with ad-hoc projects, including new system implementation Person Specification: Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written skills Work in an organised and structured manner with exceptional attention to detail Remains well under pressure Requirements/Preferences Part-qualified accountant Previous experience within Financial Services preferable Must be confident on Excel, Xero and/or Concur experience preferable Company This leading Private Equity firm has over $10 billion of assets under management. They focus on acquiring mid-sized companies and take a long-term stance to help them grow and develop. The firm has over 200 employees internationally and a Finance team in London of 10. Salary & Benefits £17 - £18 per hour (PAYE) plus holiday pay then £35,000 - £40,000.
