A country house hotel in the Keswick region of Cumbria is seeking to recruit a Sous Chef Role: The Head Chef of a country hotel which has built up a strong trade with plenty of repeat business is seeking a Sous Chef to join the kitchen.In this role of Sous Chef you will be given a full input on the running of the kitchen including designing the menus, staff management, recruitment etc with the expectation that you take full control when required to.The hotel’s food service is concentrated on the award winning restaurant which offers modern British dishes prepared with plenty of produce sourced locally from the region, there will be no banqueting involved with this position. Requirements: A Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef who has a background working in one/ two AA Rosette hotel’s restaurants or pubs is required to take on this position.A chef who is a confident team leader with the ability to assist with the day to day management of the kitchen whilst also having excellent all round cooking abilities would be ideal.
