Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to undertake various activities associated to the administration, development and maintenance of the company's IT and communications infrastructure. You'll also support ongoing research and development to ensure long-term sustainability of the company's services and be responsible for all aspects of remote communication links with customer sites Main Responsibilities: Work alongside the Technical manager to understand 3rd party technologies identifying the needs of customers Research, document and plan requirements and identify the company's future systems development goals. Design, build, maintain and document functional, secure and highly available networks across office, data centre and cloud environments. Configure and install network hardware and software. Responsible for maintaining and updating IT security policies. Ensure all network and server infrastructure work adheres to company security policies and accreditations. Adhere to maintenance, auditing and business continuity. Monitor Network and IT infrastructure performance. Mentor and train other members of the company in relation to computer networking and security. Work with the Technical Manager to regularly update the master project development plan ensuring that the development plan rapidly adapts to the changing priorities of customers. Identify potential issues with the IT system, to keep relevant personnel informed as to the nature and potential impact of issues as they arise and to take necessary action to ensure the mitigation of disruption to the company's normal business. Work with the team to ensure the IT system remains virus free and fully recoverable. Assist with the setup, configuration and maintenance of company production servers. Assist with the maintenance of production databases ensuring data confidentiality integrity and availability. Skills and qualifications: At least 5 Years' network experience. Active CCNP certification Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP VOIP Knowledge and experience Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools Experience with firewall technologies and VPN Experience with virtualisation technologies Strong problem-solving skills Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders Experience working to ISO27001 standards Desirable: Industry recognised Security certifications Database administration skills and experience Experience within AWS VPC Apache and Linux configuration Start: Immediate Location: Fleet, Hampshire Salary: Up to £47,000 Benefits: Income protection, Life assurance, Pension, 24 days holiday Bank Holidays If you are interested in this position, feel you have the relevant experience and skills and would like to apply, please call our team on or apply online.
