Overview

Express Medicals Ltd are looking for an Occupational Health Screening Nurse on a part-time basis Tuesday to Friday, 0900-17:00 for our Glasgow clinic. Interviews planned on 5th March. This role is a clinic-based position with occasional visits on client sites where you will provide Occupational Health Services to our clients in a self-led clinic. You will undertake a range of Occupational health screening assessments and make decisions on the outcome of these assessments, utilising your knowledge, industry protocols and guidance to identify actual and potential hazards for our clients. Working as an occupational Health Screening Nurse you will: ·Undertake routine medicals e.g. Pre-employment medicals, Industry standard medicals such as rail. ·Undertake specialised medicals e.g. Working at heights, Confined spaces, silica, Train drivers. ·Undertake Drug and Alcohol Screening: Urine, Saliva, and Hair. ·Undertake Audiometric and Spirometry testing. ·Undertake Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) assessments at level 1 and 2. ·Undertake venepuncture as required. ·Run a self-led clinic where you will be working as a lone worker and liaising with the appropriate departments to ensure stock and surveillance equipment is maintained and service at agree intervals ·Run a self-led clinic where you will be working as a lone worker and liaising with the appropriate departments to deal efficiently and appropriately with medical and health matters of clients where necessary to ensure continued high-quality service. ·Have ability to work confidently and independently whilst operating within a wider team framework. ·Keep accurate documentation when completing all medical assessments. Ideal candidate will: ·Be a registered general nurse and hold a valid NMC pin. ·Preferably have experience in working within Occupational Health role or Health Screening. ·Excellent planning, organisation, verbal and written communication skills to prioritise and manage a flexible workload. ·Critical thinking with the ability to problem solve. ·Demonstrates an interest and commitment to Occupational Health. ·Sensitive to clients’ needs This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89663906
