Support Worker An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to work in a local supported living service for adults who have a learning disability , complex needs and some service users have physical disabilities. The service is located in Doncaster . The charity is looking for people to work as part of a team that supports their clients in reaching their potential in the supported living environment and in the community. The successful candidates will be those who demonstrate great compassion and care and genuinely want to see others live a fulfilling life. The client is looking for the support worker to start as soon as possible. Full training is giving and a thorough induction. The salary is £9.00 per hour As a Supported Living Support Worker you will receive: A competitive pay-rate Holiday pay Pension scheme Excellent training and development Free parking The Support Worker role includes: - Supporting the clients with their personal care Helping the clients in making daily nutritious meals Accompanying the clients to their medical appointments Accompanying the clients on social visits, such as, swimming, the gym, shopping, cinema trips and general activities General Housekeeping Administer medication Participating in the planning and implementation of personal development plans and person-centred plans Updating care and support plans Liaising with family members Ensuring each service user lives a life that matches as best as possible their needs and desires The company are looking for candidates with at least 6 months experience, however full training is given. If you have experience working with older people or indeed family members who have a disability, then your application will also be considered. THIS IS A FULL TIME PERMANENT POST WITH FLEXIBILITY TO COMPLETE A VARIETY OF SHIFT PATTERNS REQUIRED. Support Worker Applicant must have the following requirements: - Good communication skills (verbal and written) Enjoy being active and supporting clients when they go out into the community Enjoy working creatively with clients Be able to work flexible hours including weekends, sleep-ins and waking night duties Ability to work alone and as part of a team If you feel this is the role for you, please apply as soon as possible.
