Overview
Your experience of systems engineering covering the whole systems v-model and knowledge of developing either hardware, software or firmware could make an instant impact with my client; A market leader in the provision of secure communications, information assurance, encryption and ISTAR systems to defence customers worldwide and public and commercial sectors including organisations such as Mastercard, Apple, Google, VeriSign and Shell. Due to a strong workload, they are looking to recruit a Head of Systems Engineers in Greenford to conduct line management, resource management and identifying and implementing process improvements on systems engineering. The successful candidate will provide systems engineering expertise and head up the systems engineering function. The company provides an extensive range of connectivity options, and utilises any connection possible (bearer of choice), from WiFi to satellite, to maintain the end user's connection. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate; Previous experience of line management, resource management and identifying and implementing process improvements. Significant experience and a full understanding of Systems Engineering, the V-Model and associated processes/lifecycles. Significant experience of developing requirements and establishing a compliant systems design. Experience in writing high quality technical documentation and the formal technical review of such material. Experience working as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and developing new areas of expertise as and when required. Advanced knowledge of System Engineering practices, methodologies, processes, techniques and technology trends. Experience of DOORS, UML, SEBoK, Enterprise Architect and SysML. Experience of hands-on development of either hardware, software or firmware development, particularly in an embedded environment. Degree in an engineering, mathematical or science-based subject desirable. Willing and able to obtain, and maintain, DV security clearance.
