Overview
We have an outstanding opportunity for a Demand Planner with a modern, fast growing and entrepreneurial retailer in Yorkshire. The company have won multiple awards as they continue to grow their market-share and this will be a key appointment in their quest to continue their phenomenal success. About the role: Based at their modern and vibrant offices the job holder will be responsible for taking ownership of the planning and forecasting function. You will create the Demand Plan with a focus on short-term and long-term capacity planning, liaising with suppliers in the process. Managing an Administrator, you will define the plan to minimise over-stocks whilst maximising availability, as well as utilising the forecasts to generate the daily, weekly and monthly ordering plan. About the person Ideally you will have Demand Planning experience in an FMCG retail or manufacturing environment. The role will be as varied as it is strategic, and key to your success will be your ability to deliver an inventory planning and forecasting matrix that will enable the business to maximise sales whilst maintaining stock holding at optimum levels. You will be a true self-starter with the ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, and you will be able to demonstrate first rate strategic and analytical thinking skills. This will be underpinned by great interpersonal skills with the ability build relationships and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
