Overview
Product Owner (IT) Cambridge £60,000 - £70,000 TEC Partners are pleased to be exclusively recruiting for a prestigious company based in Cambridge, in their search for a Product Owner. This PO role will be working exclusively with the development and operational IT Services teams so the primary liaison will be between business stakeholders and the ops engineering teams. Successful candidates will be able to develop intimate understandings and be able to anticipate the business' IT needs and requirements. They'll manage the Ops backlog; they'll facilitate conversations between ops engineers and business stakeholders to best prioritise the backlog and clarify requirements to make sure the team deliver the best services. They'll work with engineering teams to plan delivery and oversee the development and execution. Successful candidates will be accountable for the following - The catalogue of Development and Operational Services Defining and meeting service level objectives for development services and operational infrastructure Taking Ops projects through the full life cycle Managing internal customers of development systems and ops infrastructure Managing the assigned service budget Managing backlogs and capturing and translating user needs into deliverables Successful candidates will understand the following - A general understanding of AWS/Linux/Networks/Databases/SAN An understanding of common development practices including requirements developers put on IT Systems Experience in hosting live services Be able to develop long term visions and objectives, seeing them through to delivery Naturally empathetic demeanour for customers Agile and Lean knowledge, specifically coaching Product management experience The successful candidate will work transparently in all these things, updating stakeholders on delivery estimates, maintaining project documentation, building roadmaps to visualise delivery timelines and holding the company's needs to be of paramount importance.
