Overview
Expanding commercial loss adjusting practice seeks to appoint an experienced property adjuster to its regional operation in the North East. The role will be home-based handling the full range of commercial property perils for a variety of insurer principals at all levels, including major loss dependent, upon your technical ability. You will work with colleagues in the region but should be completely comfortable working on your own initiative and handling losses without the need for daily supervision. There will be an additional requirement to consolidate existing, and develop new, client relationships especially within the regional broker market. Candidates should ideally have a proven track record of handling commercial property perils, although our client is prepared to consider individuals whose current bias is towards domestic, but who have the ability to develop their skills into handling a pure commercial portfolio. You must essentially live in the Newcastle/Sunderland/Durham area, and be prepared to travel throughout the North East and across to Cumbria when occasion demands. Progress with professional qualifications through CII/CILA would be preferable but is not essential. Flexible basic salary but there is a market-leading bonus which will reward well for your personal input and performance.
