Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer 3-month rolling contract Birmingham Competitive Rates (Umbrella or PAYE only) No Ltd companies If you are looking for a role that will give you the opportunity to problem solve, make a difference immediately and be challenged then please keep on reading. My client expects this contract to be a rolling contract and therefore it could potentially last for a long period of time. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the following: • Developing the manufacturing processes for precision machined, assembly and fabricated components • Improve the existing processes & productivity • Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to achieve required results • Successfully manage NPI projects to deliver to plan • Experience of CADCAM systems - Catia V5, Solidworks, MasterCam • Experience of APQP, PFMEA's, FAIR’s • Experience of precision close tolerance machining, assembly and fabrication, ideally with aluminium materials • Generate and prove out CNC programmes for a range of multi axis machining centres • Support machining feasibility, process time, process layout definition, fixture design & tooling selection • Identify and schedule continuous improvement opportunities Skills, Experience & Abilities The candidate must possess the following skills to be considered for this role: • Time served apprentice or a graduate Mechanical Engineer • Aerospace or Automotive background essential • Minimum HNC qualification in an engineering discipline is advantageous • Must be confident with delivering projects to plan with minimum supervision • Strong Lean toolbox around quality • Ability to influence fixture design, tooling and equipment selection • Ability to programme with Catia V5, Solidworks, MasterCam To be considered for this role please either hit the 'Apply' button on this site or email your CV directly to I can also be contacted directly on.
