Responsibilities & Skills Needed As a BI Business Analyst you will be involved in building and delivering BI, data and reporting solutions. You will work closely with the product owner to lead conversations about feature development and pair with developers to deliver this as part of the development team. Your focus will be on data, data warehousing and BI, supporting the requirements gathering process for internal teams and external clients. Data analysis and data profiling to assist in the understanding of data and data issues to put data at the heart of decision making Analyse and document key IT systems, data sources and business processes Drive continuous improvement through identifying opportunities and implementation of best practice standards Translate business and system requirements into functional Data Warehouse requirements Create and maintain data dictionaries Solid understanding of Data Warehouse principles especially Kimball methodology Experience working as a Business Analyst to elicit, analyse, validate, consolidate and prioritise business and systems requirements Conducting data profiling to assess quality of data and identify data issues Proven track record of successful delivery of large scale BI projects Working knowledge of Agile principles and the role of the BA in this methodology with a solid understanding of SDLC Experience in writing and backlog management of Epics, User Stories, Features and Acceptance Criteria for functional and non-functional requirements Skilled at data profiling to assess quality of data and identify issues Experience with Microsoft databases and MS BI solutions Good experience with T-SQL Experience with Tableau and Alteryx is highly desirable
