Overview

Overview As a member of the Employee Relations team you will be responsible for delivering a high quality and consistent Employee Relations and HR advice to employees and managers. You will provide proactive and professional ER support to a portfolio of site and Support managers across the organisation minimising and managing risk to the organisation. This is a temporary role of between 6-9 months Your new role Leading complex case management, ensuring that the organisational risk around people activities are managed and mitigated Manage your own diary covering a region, based from Wednesbury and covering various locations over the Midlands , including some national travel at times Provide timely and efficient Employment Law and Management advice for all transactional activity, Employee Relations and absence case work to HR colleagues and line managers Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with key external stakeholders including trade unions. Ability to manage a high volume of ER casework across multiple sites Take a lead on issues relating to conduct, performance and ill health capacity An strong track record of upskilling line managers through coaching and training Candidate requirements An ER Specialist with experience managing a high volume of ER cases The ability to build strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders, including HR colleagues, senior management, line management and employees is paramount. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines The ability to cover a region over the Midlands, with some national travel at times including overnight stays The role comes with a salary between £35,000 - £40,000pa.
