Overview
Category Buyer Salary: £26,000-£30,000 Grafton recruitment are working on behalf of a well-known global manufacturer to source an experienced Category Buyer due to recent re-structure in the Purchasing Department. Focus of the role will predominantly be Tool Procurement however you may need to get involved in purchasing for other categories. As a successful Category Buyer, you will reduce spend whilst maintaining continuity of supply. Responsibilities: Expediting; ensuring that purchase orders are accurate to avoid invoice enquiries Managing supplier's performance with key measures being cost, quality and delivery Identifying purchasing contracts and synergies with other companies within the Group Reporting and updating supplier order progression Ability to mitigate contractual risk within Supplier agreements Utilising purchasing data and established lead times to validate supplier efficiency and performance Working collaboratively with other departments and building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering & Commercial Skills: Previous experience in purchasing within a manufacturing facility Excellent negotiation skills Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels Strong commercial awareness MRP system experience Competent in Microsoft office Benefits: Competitive salary: £26,000-£30,000 Free Parking Contributory pension scheme Global organisation Shift: Monday - Thursday 8am -4:30pm / Friday 8am - 1pm HOW TO APPLY: To be considered for this role, please click on the link provided.
