Job title: Customer Service Officer Role type: 3 months Location: Greater Manchester Hours: 35 hours per week Our client is looking for a helpline advisor who is able to provide advice and guidance in a professional and ethical way. The ideal candidate will have dealt with calls of an urgent / distressing nature previously The successful Helpline Advisor must be able to remain calm under pressure and deal with some possible disgruntled customers from time to time and be able to remain calm at all times This is an extremely important role and attention to detail is key REQUIREMENTS Taking high number of calls relating to sensitive information and providing an excellent level of customer service Data protection must be adhered to at all time Empathy must be shown at the appropriate times Liaise with members of the public and professionals Ensuring you deliver a high quality service at all times Must have proficient IT skills to record information given as accurately as possible Use initiative to make informed decisions Appropriately handle contacts where the caller may be distressed. angry or upset to provides the correct information Provide contacts with accurate, consistent information and advice carrying out appropriate research Respond politely and sensitively to enquiries SKILLS / ABILITIES Strong verbal and written communication skills Manage own workload and prioritise tasks Be co-operative and a team player Ability to follow guidelines and procedures set Ability to deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential material Excellent IT skills Ability to judge the urgency of a caller and under pressure redirect the caller to the appropriate place Morgan Hunt is a multi award winning Employment Business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
