This role requires the inspection of components along with collecting and analysing trend data. The role requires the Inspector to be able to undertake a variety of processes for product verification of parts and components, i.e. mechanical design aspects. To ensure that all Inspection activities are delivered efficiently in accordance with the production schedule. A key element of the job is the rigorous inspection and testing of the product before release to operations warehouse and supporting the handover of the parts and components into production. Responsibilities: To carry out testing/inspection of components using a variety of processes and techniques in accordance with Quality Assurance instructions and/or Technical specs, and using measurement equipment. To generate, maintain inspection documentation in accordance with the relevant Company Quality Assurance policy To accurately interpret component drawings/test procedures and relevant information so that, part numbers, drawing issues, process specification and surface finishes can be accurately identified and applied. Accurately record all work in progress and the location of components and parts. Goods inwards inspection and functional testing of products and goods into stores Raise and report noncompliance issues, non-conforming product detected at the goods-in stage and support production detected non-conformities. Support the development/creation of inspection instructions, work instructions and other quality documents. Collating results from tests and entering them into reports. Requirements : To comply with processes and procedures established as part of the company's quality management system, and to maintain appropriate records to demonstrate processes/procedures are followed. To ensure that the appropriate training is received for the tasks performed. To ensure the work tasks assigned are carried out carefully and thoroughly, and any problems reported to the person who assigned the work and your line manager. Essential Numeracy and geometry skills Broad experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings General work background in manufacturing/engineering Basic grounding in H&S policies and procedures PC literate. Experienced in Office 365 and internet applications. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions closely. Ability to record tests performed, their setup, results found etc. in a structured, ordered and timely manner. QC Skills The Finished Product Goods In Inspector will have the following keys skills and experiences: Good Quality engineering, Quality Inspection and Quality Control. Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, electronic/electrical components, technical environment or similar. Hands on experience of goods in and goods out inspection and measuring and testing. Desirable Experience with basic test equipment e.g. measurement meters, voltage, current, temperature, mechanical measurement etc. Experience of electro-mechanical assemblies and/or devices manufacturing Relevant education in an engineering/technical discipline or equivalent Interpersonal Skills Strong interpersonal, communication, attention to detail and "self-starter" skills Ability to work as a part of a team, or individually while using own initiative If this role is of interest, please apply today and a member of the team will make contact with you to discuss your application.
