Overview
Management Accountant Salary: up to £42,000 per annum dependant on experience T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Management Accountant for a leading national business, this position will play a crucial role within a newly formed team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the monthly accounting close activities lead to the general ledger being accurate, completed on time and in accordance with internal controls & best practice. You will also be the central liaison for the FP&A Business Partners and there will be a large focus on process alignment and process improvement. Main responsibilities will be: Oversee the month end close process and ensure that the final numbers are accurate, timely and complete Ensuring that shared services teams deliver on time and accurately as the main contact with the FP&A partners Ensure that other Group requirements are met including: o Assist with any internal or external audits o Completing month end and year end reporting Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of: o Statutory Accounts packs o Quarterly tax reporting (GTC) Monthly estimates/ VAT Returns/ Pension Accounting/ ONS surveys/ Net Debt reporting/ IFRS 16 reporting Providing forecast and budget balance sheet for review Ensuring that the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process is completed on time Managing improvement projects as and when required To be successful, you will: Ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) (finalists may be considered) Possess experience of working in a shared service environment Demonstrate a good understanding of accounting and reporting within industry Demonstrate strong accounting skills with a focus on balance sheet control Demonstrate attention to detail with an ability to see the bigger picture Demonstrate excellent process skills with an ability to work to tight deadlines Demonstrate the ability to oversee a small team Large company process and accounting experience Ability to identify areas to improve processes and follow these successfully through This presents a great opportunity for candidates looking to further their accounting career with opportunities for future progression.
