Graduate Management Accountant Luton, Bedfordshire £20,000 - £25,000 Depending on experience Bonus Study Support Benefits We are seeking an ambitious graduate with at least 6-12 months accounting experience to join this exciting market leading business which offers excellent career progression, training and exposure across the business. We are seeking someone with previous experience as an accounts assistant / assistant accountant within a financial accounting or management accounting department (maybe from a placement year or first job following graduation) or someone looking to start their career in accounting that already has an accounting qualification (A-Level in Accounting or Degree in Finance and Accounting) under their belt. Key duties will include; Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts Producing various month end reports as requested by the business Analysis of Profit & Loss accounts, answering queries and analysing variances Posting accruals and prepayments Monthly and yearly balance sheet reconciliations Inter-company reconciliations Various month-end duties Assisting with projects, identifying and implementing key process and control improvements Working with non-finance operational staff to help them understand key cost lines within their P&L's Supporting continuous improvement initiatives as required What we are looking for Ideally you will already have experience and be seeking a step up in responsibility or you will be starting your career in accounting with an accounting qualification already completed. Study support will be provided for those wishing to study towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA. Applicants must be proficient in the use of Excel ideally including the use of pivot tables and look-ups. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, have a strong attention to detail, work well under strict deadlines and work well within a dynamic sociable team environment.
