Overview

Agora Talent are partnering with a fast-growing consumer tech business to recruit a Junior Accountant. We are looking for a bright candidate who has had some experience in an accounting function, particularly in accounts receivable at first. Ideally we are looking for someone who has started a professional qualification. (Although this isn’t striclty necessary) The role will come with a study support package for the right individual. At first the role will be more on the transactional side, but the aim is to transition into a broader accounting role, with the end goal of taking ownership of the P&L and balance sheet of 2-3 of our overseas subsidiairies. What you will do: Multi currency bank reconciliations Intercompany loan reconciliations Accounts receivable postings and reconciliations Payment service provider postings and reconciliations Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for all group companies Liasing with the operations team to ensure accurate reporting Assisting with the preparation of the monthly consolidated board pack Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations at the end of each month Assisting with international compliance and ensure all appropriate tax filings and registrations are made Assisting with the development and implementation of financial controls and processes Assisting the Group Financial Controller with various ad hoc projects Requirements At least 1-2 years experience working in a finance team Adaptable, driven, hardworking and proactive individual Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to work in a face paced, self starter work environment and able to meet deadlines Solid understanding of financial metrics and accounting principles Experience in startups an advantage Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to respond to unsuccessful candidates.
