Overview

Are you a chartered accountant or are you tax qualified looking for a new challenging role within transfer pricing? (transfer rpicing experience is not essential) This is a varied transfer pricing role based in Newbury, Berkshire with responsibilities across the entire transfer pricing lifecycle, including the design, implementation, documentation and defence of the group’s transfer pricing policies. The scope of the role will include supporting the team in managing the implications of business change; managing the operational transfer pricing processes; assisting the team in meeting the group’s transfer pricing compliance obligations and defending the group’s positions under tax authority audit. This is a challenging role in a fast paced and evolving business environment. We need an ambitious individual who is keen to develop a wide range of transfer pricing technical and operational skills and knowledge. This individual will need to thrive under pressure, have strong analytical skills (dealing with large amounts of data) and be capable of building strong relationships across the business. Working with the Group Transfer Pricing Director and Senior Manager to understand business change (including acquisitions and integration); monitor changes in the legislative transfer pricing landscape; consider and advise how these changes are likely to impact existing policies; and design and support the rollout of group tax strategies and go forward policies. A key part of the role will be to manage (working with the wider tax and finance teams) the group’s operational transfer pricing processes, including responsibility for the operation of the processes on a monthly basis; identifying areas for change/improvement; and assisting with the year end and interim tax reporting. Having a key role in ensuring the business meets its worldwide transfer pricing compliance requirements. This will involve working closely with advisors, assisting in the preparation of the Master File and Local Files and meeting the group’s CbyC notification requirements. Working with the wider tax and finance team and external advisors to respond to transfer pricing queries raised as part of the statutory account preparation process, the subsequent audit process and also tax authority audits.
