Overview
Our client is an industry leader, offering textile, hygiene and facility services operating in 28 countries across Europe and Latin America. In the UK they have over 9,000 employees working at over 60 sites. The Engineer will report directly to the Senior Engineer/Engineering Manager on site. You will ensure that all work is completed in line with quality standards and in a timely manner, adhering to Health and Safety rules. You will provide support in relation to all maintenance tasks and projects being undertaken, including day to day breakdown of any machinery, PPM, equipment updates, new installations, and building/infrastructure upgrades. The candidate will work on mechanical, electrical, steam, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. You will need to be good at problem solving and have the ability to use good judgement under pressure in a fast paced production environment. The candidate will be working as part of a team of engineers on a rotating days/nights, 4 on/4 off shift pattern. Requirements: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Electrical Installation 17th Edition. Electrical Installation Maintenance. Mechanical Fabrication/Maintenance. Electronic fault finding to component level. Ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff and work as part of a team. Attention to detail. Ability to make decisions. Problem solving/analytical ability. Self-motivated. Flexibility to work unsocial hours. Education/Experience required: · Proven experience of working in a manufacturing / production environment (eg Laundry, FMCG, Dairy, Pharmaceuticals, Food production). · Preferably possess a recognised qualification relevant to the role (e.g. mechanical or electrical C&G). · Skilled in both Electrical and Mechanical trades. · Preferred knowledge of other engineering disciplines including pneumatics, hydraulics, steam systems.
