Overview

REED Leicester Accountancy are currently working with a Not-for-profit organisation to recruit for a Senior Finance Professional on a Permanent basis. The purpose of the role is to provide guidance for their financial strategy and decision making. You will be expected to work closely with Non Finance budget holders to guide them aid in their decision making. Ensuring that financial reporting is prepared in a timely manner, participate in committee meetings with volunteers to provide information and manage a rolling maintenance plan of actions for the charity’s assets. Job roles and responsibility: Analyse the monthly accounting transactions, providing reporting against budgets, reforecasting, reconciliation and preparing month-end and year end accounts Preparation of the annual budget Develop and implement financial management reporting for Trustees Work with colleagues and lead volunteers to reconcile cost centres regularly particularly for events run by the charity Preparation of financial updates and reporting for Finance and Executive Committee Attend finance committee meetings (4 or 5 per year/evenings) Work with Lead Volunteers to prepare for and support the Finance Committee meetings Review and manage financial bursary requests and grants Person Specification: Experience of bookkeeping, month-end and year end reporting, budget preparation Experience of financial accounting software and data extraction(e.g. SAGE, data downloads, pivot tables…) Ability to use a range of office technologies with confidence e.g. Microsoft Office 365 Ability to build effective working relationships with volunteers and staff at all levels If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity then click 'Apply'.
