Senior Sous Chef required for this beautiful events and weddings Venue Job Title: Senior Sous Chef Location : Derbyshire Salary : up to £34,000 per annum plus great tips, 28 days holiday, straight shifts only, 50% staff discount, Free private healthcare and Free parking Employer: Wedding and Events Venue in a stunning countryside setting Extremely busy venue, particularly in summer with as much as 1000 covers a day Independent employer with a great reputation for employee welfare and satisfaction Fresh food offering, serving delicious, homemade British classics. Who are you: A passionate chef looking for your next Senior Sous Chef role. It is essential you have experience from a professional kitchen in a high volume restaurant, and also fresh food experience This role is to be Senior Sous Chef in a team of over 10 chefs, your ability to get on well with your colleagues and communicate well is very important. You will have training, recruitment and team planning experience You will have experience at managing supplier relationships, negotiating prices and menu planning This is a rural location and for that reason it is best you drive and have your own transport, free parking is available Job Role: You will be working 5 days out of 7, and on straight shifts only Helping to prepare, cook and serve food in this busy restaurant and events venue You will be fully responsible for all of the food outlets in the Head Chef’s absence and will work closely with the Head Chef on all menu planning, writing and consistency You will often be client facing in this role, negotiating menus for weddings and events and your communication and presentation must be excellent You will have good knowledge of current Health and Safety law requirements This role is ideal for an existing Sous Chef looking for their next step up or a Senior Sous Chef from a similar background.
