Overview
Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be working with a rapidly growing Planning and Design Consultancy in North London who is looking to appoint a Planning Manager to the established team of 15 professionals. The company provides guidance and bespoke solutions on project feasibility, planning applications, appeals, enforcement (and more) to help their clients achieve their objectives. The business employs 10 Architects and 4 Planners, along with back-office support that will enable you to provide a fully comprehensive and efficient service to your clients. In this role, you will work with developers to help extract the maximum possible value from projects through creative planning and design strategy. You will also support homeowners create the home of their dreams through extension, refurbishment or reconstruction with the help of an innovative planning and architectural team. Current/Recent projects include; -New residential development of 25 self-contained flats in Chelmsford -Bespoke development of 3 high-quality homes in Croydon -Exciting 9 story, 82 unit scheme in Barking In addition, you will manage and support junior staff and take lead responsibility for developing the company's client base by attending networking events, teaching other planners how to generate new business and win new clients yourself. In order to apply to this role you should hold/be; -A relevant degree. -MRTPI status. -Several years of planning experience, ideally including some private sector experience. -Strong communication skills. -An eye for detail. -Experience/interest in supporting and coaching junior members of staff. -Networking and business development experience.
