Overview
An excellent permanent opportunity is available available with a financial services client based in Birmingham City Centre for an Operations Assistant in the Middle Office. This is an urgent requirement so you will ideally be available on short notice, or a maximum of 1 month's notice. The client is committed to a remote interview process and can facilitate on boarding remotely. The Operations Assistant - Middle Office will undertake activities and tasks within the operations department as outlined below: Process and settle security trades within specific market deadlines. Process and settle security transfers within specific market deadlines. Process all client payments and receipts through various methods, CHAPS, BACS or cheque. Process all client fees. Process client loans and term deposits. Process ISA/JISA subscriptions. HMRC / MIFIDII reporting. Resolve cash and security reconciliation breaks. The Operations Assistant will possess demonstrable experience of working within a Middle Office team, with exposure to client valuations, probates, transfer requests, reconciliations and client reporting. Ideally experience should come from within a wealth management / stock broking business or as a minimum commercial banking. The role requires the successful candidates to hit the ground running as it will support the wider team with BAU work, to ease some of the current pressure and will require candidates to be able to work under limited supervision.
