Overview
Helping a well-known start-up in Edinburgh look for a Product Manager to help with an already established product. The company: An award winning business, they are a software company first and foremost and develop a website and platform for a truly great cause. They have been steadily growing over the past few years and have a settled and strong product offering. You will be joining a company of 20 skilled and experienced staff and culture is everything to the business. They have hired from some of the best company's in Edinburgh and love people with a bit of humor and a mind of their own - they don't just want sheep Their office is based slap bang in the city centre - about as central as you can get. They are definitely a very Agile outfit and even with the current climate, are pushing ahead and looking to hire. Obviously interviews for now will be done via video call, but they are well set up for this and to get people started. The role: There are potentially two positions available. Firstly, they are looking for a more strategic and senior Product Manager to help progress the current Product. They are also looking for a more hands-on Product Manager (maybe a Product Owner) who will work closer to the technology and the Development teams. The company has a reasonable level of product roadmap, so there isn't a blank canvas as such with the product. The senior Product Manager will likely help maintain the product roadmap and continue its success. In saying this though, as they are a start-up you will still need to get your hands dirty at times. There is sometimes an 'all hands on deck' mentality - natural to any new business. You will need to have an interest in helping to deliver world-class software and ideally a background in Product Management of websites and applications. This is a varied role and it is for someone who is looking for a challenge. The biggest selling point of this role is the teams you will be working with and alongside and the difference you will be making Key Skills and Experience: Extensive experience in a Product Manager role - ideally having worked with a consumer-facing technology product (start-up would be an added bonus) Experience of user testing, market research and competitor analysis in making strategic product decisions Strong background in Agile methodology for Product Development Developing and implementing product strategies in line with the organisations' strategy and vision Ability to develop an understanding of the product market it's in and any competition Identifying areas for growth and creating strategic product roadmaps This is a role to really grow and develop alongside this start-up, whilst working on a product that can have a huge impact on people's lives.
