Therapy Area: Diabetes Package: Competitive negotiable salary, car, pension scheme, bonus Territory: Norfolk, Suffolk, North East Essex Role Type: Hospital Specialist with Payer responsibility This is an excellent opportunity to join a pharmaceutical company as a Therapy Area Specialist.This is a role with clinical and market access responsibility Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company. Key therapy areas include cardiovascular, diabetes and respiratory diseases. As a Therapy Area Specialist you will generate clinical and commercial demand for brands in your specialist therapy area through promoting our clients brands to key customers. You will demonstrate a high degree of knowledge within your specialist therapy area and will drive market access and develop advocates across a number key accounts.You will work as part of a cross functional team, responsible for selling to prescribers (or prescribing influencers) in Hospitals and also with Key Customers in Primary Care and the Payer community as defined by yourSales Manager according to the local business needs at a given time. Accountabilities and Responsibilities: 1.Contribute to effective account plans that will deliver against both customer and local objectives. Agree target customers e.g. hospital prescribers, specialist GPs and nurses, appropriate Payers and decision makers Successfully promote the benefits of your brands, using the appropriate promotional mix. Skilfully and appropriately use the range of promotional tools developed for your customers. Identify and develop emerging customers who will influence sales. Maintain up to date customer database. Accurate and timely recording of sales related activity. Develop a level of expertise and knowledge in your therapy area that makes you a respected expert with NHS customers and colleagues. 2.Formulary andProtocol Delivery Identify opportunities and strategies to improve positioning of products in protocols, formularies and local guidelines. Implement plans to deliver against identified opportunities. Advocacy - Work to develop key customers in line with brand strategy and as part of the local account plan. Promote brands to key decision makers with the formulary/guideline/protocol appropriately. Ensure products are optimally utilised in line with national/local guidelines and the product licence. 3.Team Work Work closely with the sales team to implement national/local plans and strategies. Ensure appropriate working with the wider team to deliver against customer expectations. Share and adopt best practice nationally across peer group. Work closely with the brand team to provide customer insight, inform the development of materials and propositions, and share learning from across the UK. Work with brand teams to address local marketing needs. Support effective cross functional working. Qualifications Essential: Degree level or equivalent and must be ABPI qualified. Person/Experience Required Essential: Experience of working in an NHS or pharmaceutical industry role as a hospital specialist, key account manager or heath care development manager, proven track record of sales & business management success, proven track record in influencing the prescribing decision-making process across hospitals and primary care, Deep knowledge of chosen therapy area, self starter & effective problem solver - responsible for own actions and results Desirable:Current knowledge and experience of designated territory and customers, Experience of influencing successfully in a complex organisation Contact Information Chemistree Solutions Ltd is a healthcare recruitment specialist.
