Ideal Requirements: You will be a highly experienced Medical or Hospital Representative with minimum 3 years’ experience selling Pharmaceutical products into Secondary Care and you will have delivered a consistently high performance in this period both in terms of objectives and competencies. Good clinical and commercial experience needed. Educated to A-Level or higher in science subjects and will ideally possess a life sciences degree. Experience working within the Ophthalmology marketplace is desirable but not essential. Preferably ABPI qualified. A current driving licence with no more than 6 points. Role Responsibilities: Conduct sales calls with customers in specialised departments in hospitals and other Healthcare institutions. To focus activities and promotional spend on target customers as defined by the company. Develop and maintain good selling skills and use these skills to maximise usage of promoted products. Use promotional materials in an appropriate fashion to support the selling messages for the company as set out in marketing plans. Address day-to-day issues such as establishing the cost-effectiveness of a meeting without the need for guidance. Liaise effectively with relevant third-party stakeholders to maximise commercial effectiveness. Manage promotional budget effectively, and to maximise the return on investment by ensuring value for money. Maintain and develop strong product and therapy area knowledge, for all promoted products and competitors always as well as having a detailed understanding of the marketing strategy for those promoted products. Takes personal responsibility for the development of several Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in Secondary Care. Monitor changes in NHS structure, personnel and policy.
