Your new company Hays Social Care are working alongside a national physical disability provider to aid the recruitment for a Team Leader for their residential provision in Cheltenham. They specialise in supporting individuals to live, learn and work as independently as they choose, whatever their ability. Your new role As a team leader the main purpose of the role is to supervise & deploy staff within their allocated team, ensuring the provision of care, personal support, daily living tasks & activities with customers either within their own home, day centres or in residential care settings. You will assist the service manager, deputy manager and other colleagues to support individual customers to attain their full potential and maximise the options available, encouraging choice, participation and motivation. You will manage a small team of 5 staff responsible for 6 residents across the communities.You will support the nurse on site, take ownership for medication management and have an excellent knowledge of PCP / Care planning and experience of upkeep and creating new ones. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful you will have experience of leading a team within a residential or supported living service. You must be able to organise and manage the rostering process so that sufficient staff are provided at all times in accordance with the requirements of customers. You will also hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Adults / Children & Young People), hold a full UK driving licence and be able to demonstrate a commitment to the charities ethos and values. What you'll get in return In return you will receive an hourly pay of £11.38 per hour, on a 36 hours a week contract.
