Job Specification For: Roofing Labourers Meyer Scott Ref: VR/07871 Ely (company based in St.Ives) GBP9.50 p/h Temp to Perm Our new client based in St.Ives and established for over 20 years are approved to supply and install single ply membranes of most major manufacturers including Protan,Alwitra,Axter and Danosa to name a few and have roofing contracts the length and breadth of the UK. They are currently looking to employ 2 Roofing labourers on a temp to potentially perm basis and assist with one of their latest projects based in Ely, Cambridgeshire. Duties to include: · Assisting roofers in day to day projects · Material handling · Relocation of Materials to various areas around site · Setting ladders and maintenance of work area in compliance with Health and safety · Use of basic hand tools where necessary · Communication with project foreman to assist wherever possible · Any other reasonable task requested by Site Supervisor Ideal Candidate : · Must have a CSCS Card · Must have own safety boots · Be physically fit due to nature of work · Own transport preferential but company can offer lifts for candidates residing in St.Ives and Huntingdon. · Experience of working on a building site or another form of physical Labour advantageous · A willingness to get stuck in and get the job done · Someone not averse to working in various weather conditions, Hot or Cold This is a great opportunity (particularly as the summer months approach) for a candidate to get meaningful employment with a local company and pick up additional skills along the way as responsibilities increase to potentially form a career in the industry. Working hours - 08.00-16.30 Mon-Fri (With a little bit of flexibility required depending on the assignment)
