Overview
Elevation Recruitment Group's Machining and Fabrication team have a new role available for an Engineering Operative, with experience straightening steel, to join a well-established High Precision Manufacturing business in Sheffield. The business produces high precision components for the medical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Manual straightening of steel using lump hammers Working with high precision, small intricate parts Adherence to health & safety standards Use conventional measuring equipment for inspection of own work Responsible for own workflow and hitting KPI's Strong emphasis on quality To work under own initiative with minimal supervision Working Hours: Regular days; Monday to Thursday 07.00am - 04.00pm / Friday - 07.00am - 12.00pm Overtime is regularly available Monday - Friday and is paid at a premium rate. After successful completion of induction period, there is an opportunity to work a permanent night shift, which will include a generous shift allowance on top of your hourly rate. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Must have experience using small handheld tools Be able to interpret and follow route cards Experience of working within a manufacturing Experience of working at a fast pace Great communication and teamwork skills This would ideally suit a candidate who is looking for a physically demanding role.
