Are you an experienced bid manager in the public sector? Are you tenacious, with the ability to drive the highest outputs from the bid team? Do you have the drive and persistence to succeed and play a key role within an industry leading global provider, bidding and winning tenders on software solutions to local authorities in the transport industry? As a bid manager you will be based in the head office in Chippenham, but will also have the opportunity to do some of the work from home. You will join the public sector sales team and will report to the VBU manager. Build up a network of contacts within the company is always ahead of the procurement practices drive early bid/no bid decisions by preparing a full overview of the opportunity, competition,background,pricing. present to the bid team as a bid/no bid meeting, soon after identifying the opportunity develop and achieve sign off for win strategies develop winning bid documents develop and continually update the risk register ensure that the commercial proposition is devised and reviewed against the technical solution ensure that all tenders are reviewed and fully submitted on time Attributes and Skills required: methodical approach to tasks with the ability to delegate consistent high quality documentation and communication (internal and external) with excellent written English lead by example keen eye for detail when proof reading advanced MS office skills previous experience in working on complex public sector tenders, ideally for a contractor or system integrator If you feel this role could be for you and you'd like to find out more, please apply with a Word version CV and call Liz on - telephone interviews to start this week Randstad Business Support acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
