Overview

The Pets at Home Vet Group has undergone significant growth achieved by both the acquisition of Vets4Pets and organic growth. We are the largest vet group in the UK with 430 vet practices led by joint venture business partners and have made steps into the referral hospital market with the acquisition of several specialist ventures. We are based in state of the art offices next to the Retail Outlet and Steam Museum in Swindon. Forming a crucial part of the Finance department, the FP&A team leads the financial planning process across the business with high levels of exposure to the Vet Group Board. The team also provides financial stewardship to many key commercial expansion and change projects. As a key member of the Finance team you will be the point of contact for the various Support Office functions as well as our colleagues at Pets at Home Group. Key Responsibilities Provide support with the periodic reporting process to Vet Group and Pets at Home Group - including board and bank reporting; Own the Cost Centre review process with each Support Office function, including navigating each team to delivering on their financial commitments to the Group, and updating the Vet Group Exec on performance against expectations Ownership of the CAPEX process across the Group, including enhancing the controls and process and ensuring consistency across the Group Drive the development and execution of the OPEX and CAPEX forecasting cycle for the Vet Group including budget, reforecast and outturn; Developing models to help guide business decision making and track performance against expectation Drive continuous improvement in the depth and quality of our reporting - ensuring that all our reports support insightful decision making; Provide analysis and support to the FP&A Manager, Financial Director & Vet Group Exec in various ad hoc reporting requests as required.
