Overview

Are you available immediately for your next new challenge within an HR function? Would you enjoy working with a large case load, providing advice and support to managers and employees throughout Scotland? We have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced HR Advisor/People Advisor to join an award-winning team on a permanent basis due to business growth and development. You will be based at their Glasgow office and travel throughout Scotland (Company Car included in the package). Working full time, Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5pm, however flexible working is available with this role. Salary; £Competitive On a day to day basis you will be involved in: · All aspects of employee relations and get involved in their employee engagement work, too · Acting as a key point of contact, you’ll travel to branches in Scotland to offer guidance to employees and managers at all levels of the business · Advising on and facilitating disciplinary and grievance issues, you will be conduct grievance and disciplinary meetings and make decisions on cases · Resolving long-term absences · Dealing with redundancies · Offering advice across all departments and divisions of the business · Making high-level decisions in a busy and fast-paced environment · Working across multiple sites and liaising with employees and managers to give them advice · Providing employees with support through their welfare process · Training managers on all employee relation issues To be successful in your role you will have the following skills: · Experience within an employee relations role at HR Advisory level · Experience dealing with grievance and disciplinary case loads, where you make decisions on cases and are involved in the full prcess · Experience managing high volume case loads (40-50 cases per week) · The ability to work as part of a team and on your initiative · Proven knowledge of employee relations and employment law · Fantastic communication and influencing skills · Flexibility and willingness to travel as part of the role · A full driving licence · A CIPD qualification (not essential) As a member of this team you will have access to: · Working with a company who have been named as one of Glassdoor’s Top 50 UK employers and their talented People Team has recently been recognised for its work at the Herald Diversity Awards and HR Network awards · You will gain hands-on experience within a demanding, multi-site environment, as well a company car, mobile phone and laptop · You’ll also receive one of the best employee benefits packages in the industry, including flexible hours, a lunch subsidy, private healthcare and generous staff retail discounts Any offers are subject to satisfactory references and disclosure check.
