Overview
Experienced HR Advisor is required to join a growing team based in Horsham. The main purpose of the HR Adviser is to provide comprehensive operational HR support to the Human Resources team and senior management, providing accurate up to date HR advice, guidance and practical support on a wide range of HR matters including: Supporting the HR team on a range of complex HR activities, including project work and ad-hoc queries. Work with line managers, helping them identify their HR needs, exploring solutions and identifying the level and type of support they need. Responding to everyday queries from on a wide range of employment law and best practice HR ( e.g. redundancy, rights to time off, maternity rights etc… .). Advice and case management of employee relation problems (Disciplinary, capability, absence management and grievances etc). Guidance and practical support in planning and managing organisational restructuring plans (e.g. redundancy consultation, transfers under TUPE). Developing and reviewing policies and procedures including writing staff handbooks which reflect or develop the client’s organisation culture and in line with legal requirements. Research and produce reports for clients on a range of matters, ( e.g. salary surveys ). Working with senior staff introducing or reviewing performance and reward systems (e.g. appraisal schemes, salary and benefits structures). Management and practical support of recruitment campaigns (e.g. advertising, administration, shortlisting, attending interviews). Devising HR strategies providing longer-term solutions (e.g. reward strategies, succession planning, improving recruitment and retention). This role would suit a HR Generalist, HR Advisor/Adviser or HR Officer with strong ER experience, employment law knowledge, and be CIPD Qualified level 5 or qualified or studying Level 7 (essential).
