We are looking for a Networks IT Infrastructure Manager to manage our growing IT Operations network support team supporting sites in the South West and Nationally. What will you be doing? The team provides strategy, design, build, operation, maintenance and support for a wide range of WAN, LAN, Mobile networks and telephony services. Technologies are wide ranging and we work to ITIL based service processes. The role involves running a team of Infrastructure Analysts - Networks, working alongside both internal team members and external service providers. You’ll be responsible for the provision of IT infrastructure services ensuring their serviceability, availability, suitability and performance. We have a varied infrastructure landscape with a mix of older and leading-edge technologies to allow you to build and widen your skills. Examples include: Network Administration, Network Management, Network Support, Network Security, Cisco, Meraki, checkpoint, Firewalls, Switches, Routers, bridging, CCNA, VPN, VRF, WAN, LAN, Mobile, ethernet, Microwave, Radio, Network Node Manager, MPLS, ADSL, VoIP, PBX, Telephony, Citrix,security patching, Microsoft Office 365, ITIL. Following Group IT governance policies and processes, you’ll be responsible for designing infrastructure services to meet business needs, and subsequently delivering the build, upgrade, provision, patching, monitoring and support. The Networks IT Infrastructure Manager will coordinate and collaborate with network, application, security and database administration functions to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of Infrastructure clients, servers and networks to meet agreed service levels. What do you need? Familiarity of ITIL and PRINCE2 project governance or equivalent Previous experience as a Network Manager, Network Engineer or Network Support. Good documentation, intercommunications, problem solving, and analysis skills are essential. Experience and expert knowledge of leading technologies and standards across servers, clients and networks Takes personal responsibility to keep their IT governance and technical skills up to date Demonstrate a strong Customer Service orientation, taking ownership to ensure the effective resolution of questions, requests and issues Resilient with the ability to adapt to changing situations and reorganise tasks, people and priorities Ideally, ITIL foundation certificate in IT Service Management What can Pennon Group offer you?
