Weekend Customer Scheduler / Services Controller Up to £25,000 per annum Friday – Monday Normanton, Excellent Company Benefits & Onsite Parking Due to internal movements within the company my client are pleased to announce a weekend vacancy within their service department to work reliably dealing with customers who have machinery breakdown that require urgent engineer and technical support. You will be responsible for managing calls from customers to ascertain the reason for breakdown to prioritise engineer schedules to attend site and complete the full fix. My client is offering permanent contracts to those who can demonstrate a good level of commitment to customer services, ideally from a technical background which can include any passion for mechanics, electronics and / or the strong urge to problem solve technical issues as a hobby or general characteristic. This is a busy role that requires full empathy and excellent communication skills whilst being organised to ensure customer down-time is eliminated and service contracts and warranties are upheld. Hours of work: Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday & Sunday 7am to 7pm, Monday 8am to 5pm (30 hours per week). Duties of the Service Controller: - Respond quickly to calls into the department dealing with each enquiry individually Liaise with customers regarding their breakdown of machinery Gather technical facts regarding the breakdown to assist during the call as well as enabling precise communication with engineers Plan engineer visits to site Ensure excellent customer service throughout the fix; attending to expectations regarding service contracts and taking ownership of the services Manage urgency and ensure all details are logged electronically Produce productivity reports and work in progress reports to ensure accurate records Skills & Experience Required To be considered for this role it is important you can demonstrate the following skills: - Previous scheduling / planning experience Technical industry experience; hands-on approach with natural inquisitive characteristics to ascertain faults to problem solve Customer Service in a service environment; priority issues requiring urgent attendance MS Excel capabilities Excellent communication skills with a thick skin and urgency to resolve difficult queries Appointed Personnel Ltd are acting as an employment agency on behalf of their client.
