Role Title: Sessional nurse Full or part time: Part time role - 16 hrs/ week (occasional addition hours may be required) - The days to be worked on a regular basis are Mon 8am-4.30pm and Tues 8am-4.30pm. Employment will be via Rullion on an agency basis on a rolling contract Our Client has a high quality occupational health service which is seqohs accredited [Safe effective quality occupational health service] They are a small, friendly, dynamic and progressive team looking for a part time sessional nurse to join them. The appointed person will provide support to the site OHA in the provisions of a comprehensive occupational service, in compliance with statuary obligation, professional and ethical standards, including ionising radiation regs 2017 and company standards and practice. Accountable to the OHA for clinical governance and practice Responsibilities Reporting to the occupational health advisor, you will be involved in a wide range of duties within the Occupational health service including: Task related health assessments for initial, classified, and non-classified workers includes, ecg, bloods, audio, spirometry, bp etc Drugs and alcohol sample collection, following chain of custody [training will be given] Maintaining and updating electronic records, including scanning ?First aid and treatments for minor illness Assist with Health promotions Calibration and checking of equipment Basic dressings Confidential support and active listening to staff Advising on restrictions for employees after a health assessment The successful candidate should be computer literate and able to work independently under minimum supervision. Qualification Must be a registered general nurse Mental health first aid training and Occupational health first aid training will be given. Previous experience of the tasks and role would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
