Overview

Sessional hours, term time only, mainly evening work (day-time work may also become available) Based at the Central Campus, Brighton but with the possibility to work at the Worthing Campus Due to increased demand for our AAT (Association of Accounting Technician) qualifications and Apprenticeships, we are seeking to appoint a bank of sessional AAT/Accountancy Lecturers/Tutors to deliver evening courses in Brighton and/or Worthing campuses. We are interested to hear from Accountancy Practitioners who have expertise in any of the areas of; Advance Bookkeeping Transactions, Bookkeeping Control, Budgeting, Financial Statements, Personal and Business Tax, Elements of Costing. You will have your own course cohort to manage and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the student journey. This includes: course enrolment and induction, curriculum planning, teaching, learning and assessment, feedback to students, management of student records, student achievement, and all associated course and quality related administration. You will help to enable student progression on to higher levels of study, employment, or apprenticeships. You will require an academic qualification at minimum Level 4, a professional qualification equivalent in a relevant subject as well as experience working in the Accountancy field and enjoying training and developing others. Good written and verbal communication and effective IT skills are essential. Whilst a recognised teaching qualification is desirable, you will be provided with professional development qualifications such as the Level 3 Certificate Education & Teaching, 12 week course and/or PGCE in Education & Training 2 year course (paid by the College). We are requiring tutor/s to teach AAT at level 2, 3 and 4, mainly in the evening but day time courses might also be available, so please apply if this may interest you now or in the future.
