Overview
Primo Associates currently have a fantastic opportunity for experienced IT Databse Administrators. Our client, Based in Glasgow andone of the largest operators within the FM Market are looking to expand their quality IT Team. This is a great opportunity to join a company who are in a continued period of growth into a number of International and domestic Contracts. Duties in this role would include: Receives and logs requests for support from service desk, development teams, other service delivery staff and/or users; investigate problems and other requests for support and determines appropriate actions to take Provide correct responses to requests for support by making modifications to system parameters, developing work-arounds or site specific enhancements, reconfiguring systems, changing operating procedures, producing additional documentation, or escalating requests to software suppliers · Liaise with software suppliers on the development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfil user requirements. In addition to the Application Support, You would also contribute to ; Assist the IT Team to investigate and model business functions, processes, information flows and data structures, using methodical and consistent techniques; investigate operational requirements and problems, contributing to improvements; specify information flows, processes/procedures that will meet the business requirements; Document work, take part in user meetings and assist in presenting issues and solutions both orally and in writing. Ideally you should be certified to Degree Level or relevant experience within a working environment. Candidates will be required to have · Extensive experience of working as a production DBA in a SQL Server environment, providing support for mission critical applications · Good experience of performance monitoring and database optimisation tools and techniques. We require you to be skilled in the following : · MS SQL, TSQL, SSIS, SSRS · Microsoft Stack Security · SSRS Reporting Services · POSH Ideally experience in SQL Azure also.
