Head of Engineering/Director of Engineering London Up to £135,000 20% Bonus This is your chance to work for a global media and entertainment business that helps people to explore and make the most out of cities. This company is looking for an extremely experienced Software Engineering leader with previous hands-on coding experience and multi-team management experience to head up their engineering division. You will be responsible for leading the entire software team of 20 people across frontend, backend and operations. The ideal candidate for this role is a talented software developer who has risen through the ranks to leadership-level roles and now has people management experience across multiple teams. THE ROLE: Your role working as the Head of Engineering will involve: · Advising and guiding technical choices across the entire organisation · Partnering closely with both Product and Business counterparts · Collaborating with stakeholders to prioritise work · Leading the software team to develop scalable software solutions · Guiding the team to build software according t best practices · Contributing to the design and architectural decisions · Creating a culture of problem solvers that are eager to take on new challenges · Providing day to day people management for your team leads and managers · Meeting with all team members at all levels regularly to assess performance and guide direction YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: What your role as a Head of Engineering will require: · Extensive commercial experience developing software · Experience partnering with Product and Business stakeholders to influence business · Strong experience managing software development teams · Experience managing multiple teams · Experience leading and mentoring engineers and engineering leads/managers · Comfortable working in an agile environment · Able to communicate clearly verbally and in written communication THE BENEFITS: The salary for your role as a Head of Engineering/Director of Engineering is up to £135,000.
