Overview

BSM Group are working with an International Corporate Bank with their search for a new Head of Risk and Compliance to join their team in London This role reports directly to the CEO and takes overall responsibility for developing, implementing and maintaining appropriate risk management policies, procedures and systems. As well as, providing oversight of the risk function to ensure adherence to the Bank’s risk management objectives. Initial responsibilities: Developing and implementing written policies and procedures to identify, manage, monitor and control key risks to the Bank including compliance risks and the financial risks arising from climate change in line with the Bank’s risk tolerance. Working directly with the Internal Auditors to ensure an internal audit plan that reflects the risks that apply to the Bank is in place. Identifying and managing risk management systems that are appropriate for the Bank. Developing and maintaining a Compliance/AML Manual for the Bank. Developing a Compliance Monitoring Programme for the Bank. Ensuring that regular compliance monitoring occurs and updating the Compliance Monitoring plan annually. Experience we are looking for: Strong Risk and Compliance background. Deep knowledge of UK banking and regulatory framework. Demonstrable experience reporting to regulatory bodies. Deep understanding on AML. Experience of risk management factors associated with retail and corporate SME lending.
