Keoghs are looking for a Technical Supervisor to join the team working across 2 office's 2 days in our Bolton office and 2 days in our Liverpool office and a day working from home. Our Litigated Credit Hire unit are looking to recruit a technical supervisor who will provide support to the credit hire unit. They will work directly with the business unit director and technical director. The technical supervisor will be responsible for the supervision, mentoring and coaching of individual credit hire file handlers. They will be responsible to drive policies and strategies to support the technical progression of file handlers and help to achieve technical excellence within the litigated credit hire unit in line with client’s SLA’s Key Accountabilities: • Supervise up to 6 credit hire file handlers who deal with SCT and FT cases in accordance with the relevant Competency framework and ensure that accurate technical development records are maintained. • Actively mentor and coach these individuals with a view to extending their technical knowledge and expertise • Assist with pre audit assessments of all files chosen for external client audits and internal audits for credit hire as and when needed • Identify any training requirements and to feedback to the appropriate team leader & technical director • Undertake all pre-trial reviews no later than 6 weeks prior to Trial/Disposal • Responsibility to develop all new starters to achieve their first financial authority within 6 months of joining Keoghs • Manage individual file handlers on a performance improvement plan when relating to technical issues • Consistently achieve against personal targets and objectives, set by the business unit director and technical director • Handle a caseload of approximately 10 fast track claims where the value doesn't exceed £25k • To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2011 • Adhere to the Keoghs Values Essential Skills and Attributes: • Credit hire experience either defendant (preferable) or claimant • Previous experience of handling own caseload • Experience of handling litigated credit hire work is essential • Ability to plan and prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure, whilst complying with deadlines • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills • Ability to anticipate problems and identify solutions What you can expect from us: • A competency framework which guides you through aspects of your work.
