Overview
Senior Test Analyst required for a software company in Aberdeen. A well-known name in the Aberdeen tech market are looking to add to their team as they develop their range of products. This is a company where the testing team are valued as a hugely important part of the process. Testers are integrated from the start of the software development lifecycle, rather than being an add-on at the middle or the end, so continuous testing is a key focus for the team. You'll be a Senior Test Analyst looking after a team of four or five Testers across three very Agile teams. Within this there will be a dedicated Automation Engineer, but you will still need a decent understanding of automation testing (creating automation test scripts from scratch) to be able to coach and mentor the Testers about everyday testing queries. Although there is an element of leadership involved (and there is a Test Lead and Manager above you), this will be a very hands-on position across both manual and automation testing for new features. Another key aspect of this role is being passionate around identifying where the testing process can be improved and then implementing this across the three Agile teams. You'll have a lot of autonomy to carry this out and the company are dedicated to supporting you in this as they want to make sure they have relevant and modern testing processes in place. You will most likely have the following skills and experience: Experience within an Agile environment Manual and automation testing experience (Robot, Selenium, etc.) Gitbucket, Jira Experience with cloud-based platforms (would be a bonus) Experience with performance, load and stress testing (would be a bonus) Continuous integration environment Experience leading/coaching Test Analysts Passionate about developing test improvements Based close to the city centre, the office is easily accessible via car or public transport and is filled with technical like-minded people.
