Overview

I am currently recruiting for a support Co - ordinator to provide effective and high quality support to Wakefield Equipment Service to ensure the efficient and appropriate day to day delivery of the service. Skill required: 4 GCSE "C" or above grades, or equivalent including Maths and English. ICT Qualification such as EDCL, ICT GCSE or equivalent experience. Experience of working as part of a team and working on own initiative and dealing with the unexpected. Key Outcomes/ Activities To allocate work to Delivery Co-ordinators and Maintenance Co-ordinator to maximise effectiveness and efficiency within the service; prioritising and organising urgent orders where necessary. To utilise advanced planning skills to promote and ensure the continuity of Wakefield Equipment Service co-ordinating staff rotas and work schedules on a daily basis, to cover annual leave, sickness and training. To act as a first point of contact for Wakefield Equipment Service, dealing independently with complex, routine and non-routine enquiries, orders of equipment and breakdown of equipment from a range of colleagues, partners and members of the public either verbally or in writing. Liaise with Delivery Co-ordinators and Maintenance Co-ordinator regarding failed delivery, servicing of equipment, collection or unsafe requests and communicate effectively with a range of colleagues, partners and members of the public regarding remedial action and changes to planned and scheduled work. Investigate and report to Operational Lead any instances of failed delivery, servicing of equipment, failed collection or unsafe request liaising appropriately with the requisitioner where necessary. To liaise with Delivery Co-ordinators and Maintenance Co-ordinator to identify remedial actions required following reports of any abnormalities to ensure work is allocated at full capacity and efficiency is maximised each day. To treat customers with respect and aim to provide the most effective service possible. To utilise appropriate information and communication technology to ensure the provision of prompt and efficient service and information to service users, partner agencies and other stakeholders, maintaining accurate and complete records. Working closely with Operational Managers plan routes and schedule routine deliveries, collections, servicing and maintenance of equipment and facilitate emergency response for equipment ensuring KPI standards are met. Liaise with Stores Co-ordinator and where required use specialist knowledge to pick, assemble and issue equipment for counter collections. Also to receive and handle equipment which has been used and contaminated and is of varying weights and sizes in a safe manner. To work with Operational Lead to ensure effective processes are in place for the management of satellite stores. To receive and screen requisitions and justifications from health and social care professionals to ensure hospital discharges can be facilitated, hospital admissions can be prevented and other emergency situations responded to in a timely manner. To competently utilise appropriate IT hardware and systems where necessary to ensure equipment is recorded as delivered, collected, within stores, infection control or maintenance, ensuring that the IT system is accurate and up to date at all times. To maintain and validate service user and equipment information, and storage within electronic and manual systems, producing accurate data and information to measure performance and inform the development of the service. To undertake general stockroom duties as required, to ensure that stock control systems are accurate and reported. Liaise with Equipment Lead regarding stock availability and requirements for ordering. Experience of taking minutes Hour of work are: 37 hours per week- 8.30-5 Monday- Thursday and 8.30-4.30 on Friday
