Overview
Senior Radiographer Up to £32k-£34k per annum We are recruiting for a Senior Radiographer who is responsible for general radiography across two private hospital sites - therefore a driving licence and access to a car is essential. This role does not include any MRI or CT and is general radiography only. As a senior Radiographer you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the imaging department, undertake imaging examinations and assist clinical modality to plan and maintain effective workflow within the department Essential Prerequisites for the Senior Radiographer position HCPC registered At least 2 years working knowledge of Radiography, preferably in a hospital Degree or diploma in Diagnostic Radiography Valid UK driving licence and use of a car Your key responsibilities as a Senior Radiographer will be: To actively participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing a consistent, high quality service to all patients and visitors. Undertake imaging examinations in line with department operational procedures and policies, using techniques that produce the lowest radiation dose to the patient and staff whilst producing high quality, diagnostic images. Practise good radiation, protection and safety and observe Local Rules and Systems of Work. Comply with departmental IRMER and Radiation Safety Policies & Procedures. Comply with MRI Local Rules, policies and procedures. Manage the designated working area and ensure that it is tidy, clean and efficiently run. Use initiative to prioritise, deliver and time-manage workload effectively. As requested, assist clinical modality leads to plan and maintain an effective work flow within the department.
