THE OPPORTUNITY: Property Maintenance Manager - Nottingham Based - Maintenance - Health and Safety - Building Services We have a fantastic position for a candidate to work for a client of ours managing there beautiful Victorian building based in Nottingham. The clients building is the heart of the business and has complex maintenance requirements to keep there staff safe and comfortable. Our client has premises in London, whilst managed separately, need to benefit from the coordination and support from Nottingham where possible. THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: The role is to ensure the buildings operate efficiently in line with environmental and regulatory concerns. This varied role includes day to day maintenance tasks as well as strategic planning for the future requirement of the business. The client will also occasionally carry out delivery runs in the local area. EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: Carry out maintenance checks around the premises to define schedule, identify and remedying issues that are found. Manage external contracts of suppliers ie, Cleaning contracts, Electric, Air Conditioning. Review services annually and carry out review tenders as required. Work with contractor management to resolve issues. Assist building contractors as required whilst on site. Track major works to ensure adherence to a facilities budget and plan timing of works in order to maximise cash flow Ensure H&S standards are being adhered to at all times, risks are identified and eliminated. Be the point of contact with HR and external H and S consultants. Chair fire warden team meetings. Organise fire safety training, drills and reviews. Ensure corrective actions are implemented. Manage ISO14001 and ISO50001. environmental compliance certifications as well as other regulatory concerns such as WEEE and DTS. Skills and Experience Managing external vendors and suppliers, from tender through to contract management. Experience of hands on facilities maintenance tasks from plumbing to pointing Knowledge of current health and safety in the workplace legislation Driving company light commercial vehicles Strong written and oral skills in order to be able to prepare tender documents.
